Blush and Yellow

Outfit: Dress - Jason Wu for Target, Boots - Bebe, Purse - Louis Vuitton, Necklace - F21, Ring - Gift

Ryan has been keeping me distracted in Salt Lake City, but I am able to squeeze in this post today. I am so sad to be leaving tomorrow :-(

Well, this is the last of my Jason Wu purchases. When I went to Target that morning I had absolutely no intention of purchasing this dress. I fell in love with it on, though. I just can't get over the sleeves and collar. I just think they are so cute! Plus, I think this dress is so versatile for casual or business attire. When deciding whether or not I should get this dress with a friend, we both examined the detail of the pleats, the pattern, the delicate scalloped lace and decided it was rare that you find a dress with such beautiful embellishments.

When I am ever caught in a dilemma such as this, it always boils down to details...

Pushing Daisies

Outfit: Purse - Jason Wu for Target; Silver Oxfords - Jessica Simpson, Top - TJ MAXX, Necklace - F21

Do you guys remember that show, Pushing Daisies? I loved it. The fantasy, fairytale aspect of it hooked me instantly. Really anything that reminds me of fairytales catches my attention easily.

Wearing this purse has me lusting for hot summer days. The kind of day where your skin is tan, your hair is messy and all you do for the entire day is lay out and take breaks to eat. It's ironic that I so longed for cool days when the air was hot and now I can't wait for a blazing hot day. It's also a bit funny that I am in Utah as I write this and there is snow on the ground. And I do love the snow. I guess I'm a little indecisive. But I think thats okay :)

I think I am also ready to get out of my boots, because I have been wearing my silver oxfords a lot lately. Such a simple outfit with fun accessories. I love outfits like these.

Spikery Binx Scarf

Outfit: Scarf - Jason Wu for Target, Shoes - Deena and Ozzy, Jacket - Versace for H&M

Greeting for snowy Salt Lake City everyone!

I am so excited because I will be spending the next two weeks with Ryan celebrating Valentine's Day and our five year anniversary. I am just getting over a sickness so the blogs have been scarce, but I am finally feeling better and back at it.

The cat scarf I am wearing is another little treasure I picked up at Target from the Jason Wu collection. Can you believe they only held three in the entire store? I love square scarves like this that you wear in an upside down pyramid around your neck. It's a fun shape and these scarves tend to be more versatile from fall to winter to spring because they are made of a lighter material. I own several scarves with this shape.

In an attempt to not buy any new clothing while I am here, I completely overpacked. I'm not exaggerating when I say my suitcases are completely stuffed. We will see how well this works out :)

Well Done Jason Wu

Outfit: Dress - Jason Wu for Target, Necklace - Tiffany, Pumps - Jessica Simpson, Socks - F21,
Belt - Nordstrom

I told you yesterday about my adventure at Target for Jason Wu. I knew the second I saw a preview of the collection including this dress that I NEEDED it. And not just like "oh, it'd be nice to have", but "I cannot live without this dress!" You know that feeling you get when you zip up a dress and just know it fits absolutely perfect? That feeling came with this dress. I am completely and utterly obsessed.

Jason Wu knows so well how to design dresses that will fit a women's body flawlessly. Not to mention that this dress is such a classic design, I am confident I will own it forever.

I also want to mention, that before this outift I held a very strict no black and navy blue rule. It seems Jason Wu has swayed me (just a little), because I loved the way the Lookbook paired this dress with a skinny black belt. You won't see me in navy pants and a black sweater anytime soon, but I guess it's all  about baby steps, right?

How do you guys feel about black and navy blue?

Jason Wu for Target and the 70's

Outfit: Sweater - Free People, Boots - Ecote, Headband - H&M, Watch - Michael Kors

Another day, another dollar (spent that is). Jason Wu for Target was released today . If you aren't familiar with Jason Wu, he designs many dresses worn by our First Lady, Michelle Obama. He knows a women's body extremely well, which is well displayed in the line he did exclusively for Target. I arrived at 6:30am this morning to Target and was so happy to be the first in line.

If there is one thing I have learned from standing in line for exclusive clothing lines it's this: the few people either in front of you or in back of you in line are your friends NOT your enemies. I immediately made friends with the five people who trickled in behind me. We shared the items we had to have (and our sizes) and made a game plan on which items we were all going to grab. After the initial rush we met up and divided up our sizes and items we wanted. It worked flawlessly. As it did when Naz and I were at Versace also.

I can't wait to take pictures and share with you all what I got. Make sure to "LIKE" my Facebook page to see a preview.

I love this outfit I posted. I have so much fun taking the fashion of other eras and putting a slightly modern twist on them. In fashion, it's not always about looking to the future for inspiration, but also looking back into the past. Just some food for thought :)

Missoni Luggage and Bib Necklaces

Outfit: Top w/ Belt - F21, Wedges - H&M, Bag - Missoni for Target, Pants - Anthropologie, Watch - Michael Kors.

When I went to Target that Tuesday morning for Missoni, I found this luggage bag and because I was already buying so much, my guilty conscious forced me to let go of the bag. However, I happen to have the best boyfriend in the world who found it at a Target in Utah and bought it for me. I'm not really sure how I could have lived without it (ever feel that way about fashion?). I use it every time I travel and even as a bag. I'm slightly obsessed with this color combination.

I also want to mention how much I love bib necklaces under the collar of a button-up top. I especially love how this necklace has chains hanging from large stones. Forever 21 always has some amazing necklaces for this look. Well, they have some amazing costume jewelry in general. I find whenever I wear their jewelry I get so many compliments. Surprisingly, I find many people still don't think to look at Forever 21 for jewelry. To say they are missing out is an understatement.

As I am writing this, I just saw the cutest Jason Wu for target commercial. February 5th! It's so close!

Versace Skirt

Photos by Andrew Arnold

Outfit: Skirt - Versace for H&M ($130), Heels - Jessica Simpson ($20), Necklace - H&M ($18)

The moment the lookbook for the Versace collaboration with H&M was released, I knew I would be buying this silk studded skirt. The pictures are amazing, however, I wish you could see this skirt in person because the way it sparkles and moves is absolutely stunning. I have a few skirts with this shape, but there is something about the way this skirt flows is different. It may be the combination of the silk and the weight of the studs. No matter what it is I love it. So far, I have only worn this skirt with solid black, but I can't wait to try it with other combinations. I think it will be one of those pieces will go with many more tops than I thought.

Speaking of collaborations, Jason Wu for Target is about to be released on February 5. Images from the collection have been released on the internet and I am getting very excited. Everything is under $60 and it could not be cuter! I am in love with the navy dress and flower satchel.

Are you lusting after this collection, too?
