Neon Heels

Outfit: Shorts - H&M, Neon Heels - Cathy Jean, Top - Forever 21

Sorry about my picture today. We were having some technical difficulties with the camera and instead of the outfits being in focus the back ground is. But hey, maybe it's a nice change-up. I couldn't bring myself to not share this outfit because I love it so much and you guys have never seen my neon heels! Mistakes happen.

I got these shoes in December on MEGA sale from Cathy Jean. My thought was there were left over from the summer months and that is why they were 70%. I wish you guys could see just how bright they are. With my camera malfunction, the shoes really aren't being done justice (I'll have to show you another way I like to wear them to make up for it).

Lucky for you guys, I was in Cathy Jean recently and saw that they still have a few sizes of these in the sale section! If I were you guys I wouldn't pass on these. I can not tell you how comfortable they are! Not to mention neon is everywhere this season. I guarantee you will be getting good use out of them.

Let me know if you guys end of finding a perfect neon heel. I'm on the lookout for a second pair :-)

Pushing Daisies

Outfit: Purse - Jason Wu for Target; Silver Oxfords - Jessica Simpson, Top - TJ MAXX, Necklace - F21

Do you guys remember that show, Pushing Daisies? I loved it. The fantasy, fairytale aspect of it hooked me instantly. Really anything that reminds me of fairytales catches my attention easily.

Wearing this purse has me lusting for hot summer days. The kind of day where your skin is tan, your hair is messy and all you do for the entire day is lay out and take breaks to eat. It's ironic that I so longed for cool days when the air was hot and now I can't wait for a blazing hot day. It's also a bit funny that I am in Utah as I write this and there is snow on the ground. And I do love the snow. I guess I'm a little indecisive. But I think thats okay :)

I think I am also ready to get out of my boots, because I have been wearing my silver oxfords a lot lately. Such a simple outfit with fun accessories. I love outfits like these.

Just Buy It Already

Outfit: Top - H&M, Shoes - Target, Jeans - Joe's Jeans

Have you ever gone into a store and lusted after a particular piece of clothing, but for one reason or another didn't buy it? This happens to me all the time (surprisingly, I don't buy everything I like). Sometimes, you might go back to the store a couple times and still not buy it. THEN all of the sudden you are sitting at home and decide you need it. So you rush down to the store, frantic because you've convinced yourself the item is sold out.

Ahhh, but then there is that glorious moment when you get to the store and find your item hanging beautifully on the rack, as if it is under a spotlight. It may very well be one of the greatest feelings of relief I have felt to date.

I did this with not one, but two, items in this outfit. How beautiful is this lace top? Every time I went into H&M I knew I wanted it.  I mean, the lace, the buttons, the shape, it's prefect! It happens to be one of the few items that photographs just as beautiful as it is in person. I'm obsessed with the button down back. It's always nice to find a top that is just as cute in the back as it is in the front.

Loafers are huge right now, and I had been seeing these shoes there since Christmas in both black and pink. Well about two weeks ago I buckled and not only bought the pink, but the black also.

Hey, I needed them ;-)

Missoni Luggage and Bib Necklaces

Outfit: Top w/ Belt - F21, Wedges - H&M, Bag - Missoni for Target, Pants - Anthropologie, Watch - Michael Kors.

When I went to Target that Tuesday morning for Missoni, I found this luggage bag and because I was already buying so much, my guilty conscious forced me to let go of the bag. However, I happen to have the best boyfriend in the world who found it at a Target in Utah and bought it for me. I'm not really sure how I could have lived without it (ever feel that way about fashion?). I use it every time I travel and even as a bag. I'm slightly obsessed with this color combination.

I also want to mention how much I love bib necklaces under the collar of a button-up top. I especially love how this necklace has chains hanging from large stones. Forever 21 always has some amazing necklaces for this look. Well, they have some amazing costume jewelry in general. I find whenever I wear their jewelry I get so many compliments. Surprisingly, I find many people still don't think to look at Forever 21 for jewelry. To say they are missing out is an understatement.

As I am writing this, I just saw the cutest Jason Wu for target commercial. February 5th! It's so close!

Adidas NEO Label

Outfit: Purse - Adidas NEO, Jeans - Joe's Jeans, Wedges - Deena & Ozzy, Blazer - H&M, Top - Zara

This week I received a blogger gift package from Adidas NEO label and I got the absolute cutest stuff. What I really enjoyed about the gift was that it wasn't just clothing, it contained fun items that really represented what the brand is all about. The new division of Adidas is all about crazy fun and the items I received were exactly that. I mean check out the cute USB I received! I also really love the coffee table book that was included.

My favorite piece in the package was this purple purse. I'm in love! I really love cobalt and purples this season so it is just perfect. Last weekend when I went to San Francisco I picked up this shirt from Zara and I just love the combination of the purple purse and cobalt blazer with it. I also want to quickly mention that I think everyone should save up and own a pair of Joe's Jeans. I just bought these and I can not take them off. They are the most comfortable and flattering jeans I own. The literally feel like leggings. They were well worth every penny!

BOGO

Photos by: Andrew Arnold
Outfit: Jacket - H&M ($15), Bunny Top - Forever 21 ($7), Litas - Jeffrey Campbell ($165)

Happy 2012 everyone!

I took a slight holiday break from the blog while Ryan was in town, but now The Fleur de Fashion is back in full force for whatever 2012 will bring. For my first post of the new year I wanted to show you guys one of my favorite new tops. I got it on Forever 21 online a few weeks ago when they were having a special sale.

Often times F21 will have great BOGO (buy one get one) deals that only last a few days! Sometimes great deals like this only apply to not-so-cute clothing items. However, F21 has some amazing pieces as a part their BOGO deal. I bought this this top and a faux leather vest for $15 during this flash sale. I mean, it really doesn't get any better than that!

I love the bunny graphic on this top. It's a kind of distorted drawing, which reminds me of Alice and Wonderland. I paired it with my military jacket from H&M and I actual really like the pairing together. It seems unconventional, but it just works. I find this happens to me a lot when searching through my closet. Part of the fun of fashion is pairing things you never thought you'd wear together.

Well I better go start my project for the day - reorganizing my closet. I haven't been able to put away any of my new clothes from Christmas because I have absolutely no room! I have a full closet, a full garment rack and full drawers. My solution? I just bought a garment closet from Target yesterday that I have to build and will place in the hallway. Hey, whatever works right?

Pinstripes and Keys

Photos By: Andrew Arnold

Outfit: Blazer - H&M ($35), Key Necklace - DIY/Vintage, Boots - Steve Madden ($100)

In August, if you all remember, I attended the Niles Flea Market and bought this beautiful big key to make a necklace out of. When I went to buy a chain for it, I saw this suede rope in orange and decided that would make a way cooler chain than the normal metal. This necklace is now my go-to necklace. I absolutely love it! Whenever I wear it people inquire about where I bought it and what it opens. I always respond the same way, "It's vintage. I bought it at a flea market so I guess it could open anything. It's a mystery." Which is true. And that makes the necklace that much more exciting!

Also, I know you guys already know how much I love my pinstripe blazer from H&M. Whenever I wear it I get compliments and the truth is, it really is an effortless piece. All I do is throw it over a top and jeans and, voila! I have a chic outfit. I am always on the lookout for pieces that accomplish this, because everyone has days when they are in a rush and a rush isn't any excuse to not look cute and chic.

What are your pieces you consider effortlessly chic?

Tis The Season To Be Busy...

Photo Credit - Andrew Arnold Photography

Outfit: Shoes - Libby Edelman (Gift), Skirt - H&M ($25), Top - H&M ($15), Necklace - F21 ($8)

I am trying to hard to post as often as I can, but with the holidays right around the corner I find myself leaving super early for work and not coming home until at least 8:30pm. And by then, all I want to do is watch TV until I fall asleep.

I took this photos this weekend with my friend Andrew. I love how festive this outfit is, but mainly I wanted to point out these amazing Libby Edelman shoes my Godmother has given me as an early Christmas gift. I am obsessed with them! Unfortunately, I didn't think to have him take a picture specifically of the shoes  (next time, I promise). You can at least get a sense of the studded toe. Are they just amazing?

Thanks Rebecca!
