Painting The Roses Red

Outfit: Dress - H&M, Leaf Cuff - F21, Boots - Cathy Jean, Headband - Target, Necklace - Vintage

Have you ever noticed that it isn't all that easy to find dresses with long sleeves? I love wearing dresses during all seasons, so when I see a cute dress with long sleeves it isn't often that I don't end up going home with it. This dress, however, could have been sleeveless and I probably still would have bought it.

I like that this floral print in sort of unconventional. While we usually are seeing bright colored florals, this pattern takes more of a deep color approach. Plus, the flowers remind me of the ones in the Disney animated movie, Alice in Wonderland. I happen to be a huge sucker for children folklore.

The deep floral pallet and long sleeves make it a perfect dress to wear year-round depending on how you style it. I can't wait for warmer whether when I can wear this dress with some wedges.

Just Buy It Already

Outfit: Top - H&M, Shoes - Target, Jeans - Joe's Jeans

Have you ever gone into a store and lusted after a particular piece of clothing, but for one reason or another didn't buy it? This happens to me all the time (surprisingly, I don't buy everything I like). Sometimes, you might go back to the store a couple times and still not buy it. THEN all of the sudden you are sitting at home and decide you need it. So you rush down to the store, frantic because you've convinced yourself the item is sold out.

Ahhh, but then there is that glorious moment when you get to the store and find your item hanging beautifully on the rack, as if it is under a spotlight. It may very well be one of the greatest feelings of relief I have felt to date.

I did this with not one, but two, items in this outfit. How beautiful is this lace top? Every time I went into H&M I knew I wanted it.  I mean, the lace, the buttons, the shape, it's prefect! It happens to be one of the few items that photographs just as beautiful as it is in person. I'm obsessed with the button down back. It's always nice to find a top that is just as cute in the back as it is in the front.

Loafers are huge right now, and I had been seeing these shoes there since Christmas in both black and pink. Well about two weeks ago I buckled and not only bought the pink, but the black also.

Hey, I needed them ;-)

Missoni Scarf

Outfit: Scarf - Missoni, Boots - Cathy Jean, Leggings - H&M, Jacket - Target, Poncho - H&M, Hat - Old Navy

It has been a while since you guys have seen Chewy and I figured you needed a fix :)

As you all know I purchased several items from the Missoni for Target collection and I love every piece. Before christmas, I stumbled upon this scarf while shopping. It is not a Missoni for Target piece, it is simply Missoni, however, I absolutely fell in love with it and decided it would be my christmas present to myself.

Black and white goes with everything, but what I really love about this scarf is the way it sporadically changes from mostly black to mostly white throughout the scarf. It as if there are puddles of black and white. It is quite beautiful. I know I say this a lot but I wish you could see what I mean in person.

Its is clearly classic Missoni zig zags, but the zig zags are imperfect. This is exactly what makes it the perfect piece for me :)

Styling Elements - Part Two

Outfit: Jacket - Target ($30), Sweater - Forever 21($10), Scarf - H&M ($12), Boots - Cathy Jean ($100)

So on Thursday, I told you guys I'd be taking one of my favorite bright pink sweaters and showing you how versatile items in your closet can be by switching your accessories. I am wearing the same sweater, undershirt and pants in this picture, my basis for the outfits. I have changed my jacket, scarf, jewelry, and boots. By just switching up these elements, you can create a whole new outfit with a whole new vibe. Try and remember this next time you start pulling the same items for an outfit you have worn countless times. You can start slow by changing your scarf...oh heck, just change it all up and see what happens. I bet you are more creative than you think :)

Short post today because I am off to a long day of work events. Ta Ta for now!

Bundled Up With Missoni

Outfit: Sweater - Missoni for Target ($50), Shirt - Urban Outfitters ($15), Jeans - Forever 21 ($18)

Greetings from Salt Lake City!

It is so beautiful here in the Fall and I am having such an amazing time with Ryan already :) Because I am finally in a place where the weather matches the season I just had to pull out my Missoni sweater. Originally, this is the piece in the lookbook that caught my eye.

I don't have many sweaters this length, so that happens to be one of my favorite qualities it has. The length combined with the iconic pattern is sure to make simple leggings and a simple top look chic in seconds. I love effortless pieces! I also want to note how well made the Missoni collection for Target was. This sweater is so thick and warm it was definitely worth the $50 I spent.

Well must go, fun filled day ahead of me with this crazy boy!

Missoni Dress

I'm sure you all remember how excited I was when I spent the morning at Target Missoni shopping! Well please let me introduce you to one of my five lovely pieces I purchased that day, this Missoni sweater dress. I had had my eye on this dress ever since I saw the lookbook Missoni released, so I was more than thrilled when I saw that my Target got this item in stock (for about 30 minutes).

I've been wearing this dress in warmer weather just because I love it so much, but I really can't wait for it to cool down so I can pair it with leggings, tights, boots, socks, turtlenecks, etc.

I woke up at 5am to wait in line for Missoni that Tuesday morning (we were first in line) and if I had only left with this dress I would have been happy. Unfortunately for my wallet, I decided I needed four other items as well. But I still maintain that the money, the time, and the sleepiness was well worth it :)

Fashion Day Off

Hi All!

Just wanted apologize for not posting today, but as many of you know Missoni for Target was released today and I needed to get up bright and early in order to purchase the goods. First in line it, it was such a fun experience and I can not wait to show you all the amazing pieces I bought.

All the items are made beautifully and you can definitely tell the quality in the sweaters, dresses and tops. Missoni and Target hit it out of the park with this one.

Stay tuned and thank you :)

I Turn To You - Clothing Edition

Outfit: Striped Sweater - H&M ($18), Lace Skirt - Forever 21 ($20), Oxfords - Target ($15)

Everyone has a "go to" item in their closet, and with fall just around the corner I have pulled mine out once again. I love my oversized striped sweater. You know the days when you are either in a rush or didn't have time to pick out your outfit the night before (yes, I still do that)? Well these are the times I pull out my striped sweater and throw it on with jeans, leggings, shorts, skirts, etc. I just add my accessories and my outfit is complete!

The key to the perfect "go to" item is finding one with versatility. The other day while visiting my Uncle's house I took these pictures (I mean, how can I not seize the opportunity when his house is so beautiful?). I casually dressed up my favorite piece with a lacy skirt, pearls and oxfords. The sweater has a totally different vibe when paired with leggings and boots. However, both looks are equally cute.

The more ways you can wear your "go to" item the better. Trust me, people will be less opt to recognize you wear it so much when you've jazzed it up a million different ways.

So now that you know my little secret piece of clothing, you have to share what your "go to" item is :)

Blood Orange

Outfit: Skirt - H&M, Top - Forever 21 ($14), Clog Heels - Target ($6)

Have you ever eaten a blood orange? While the taste is fantastic, the color is probably the most intriguing part of the fruit. This skirt was given to me for Christmas from Naz and it is truly a fabulous piece. My favorite part is the color. It may look red but, in person, it actually has an orange hue. Much like the beautiful color of blood oranges.

I love pairing this skirt with both casual and dressy heels for day and night looks. A few days ago, I spent sometime with my cousins at my Uncle's house. While he has had a bocce ball court in his backyard forever, I had never learned to play. We spent the day having some fun, family competition. This probably wasn't the best bocce ball outfit, but I truly believe one can never be too dressed up. After all,

The best accessory you can pair with an outfit is confidence.
